  I have been with the Genomics Research Centre for 3 years as a Technical Officer. My duties include contacting as many people as possible be they individuals or members of large families and inviting them to participate in our research as volunteers. I explain their involvement in our research, answering any queries they may have, assisting them with the completion of their questionnaires and posting relevant paperwork where required, thus enabling the gathering of phenotypic data and samples for our research. Prior to joining the team at GRC I was Personal Assistant to the Managing Director of a large national company for over twenty years.
